Taquitos Mexicanos: Authentic Mexican Tacos in Jersey City

I was in the mood for some authentic Mexican tacos, and Taquitos hit the spot. For $12 bucks you get 4 tacos, and can choose 2/2 different kinds of meat, or 3/1 for different meats to fill the taco. The tacos in the order come nice and filled to the brim with meat, cilantro & onions. They have three different sauces they give 2 of your choosing with an order. Food was fresh, flavorful and delicious. I’ll definitely be going back when the craving hits.

Looks are deceiving. Hands down one of the best taco place in Jersey City offered by this small but amazing food cart. I tried the chicken tacos and they were pretty lip-smacking. The hot sauce is authentic spicy and don’t forget to ask for the spicy red peppers if you like it extra spicy. The owners are really welcoming and will cater to how you want the tacos to be made. Will visit again.

When you tell a customer 20 min and they come back in exactly 20 min and not only the food is not ready, all the customers that came after got their food before mine making my son wait in the cold when it is obvious you gave my order away and then to tell us 5 to 10 min but eventually 30 minutes more goes by to get my food? (Edit)Service has gotten much better since they added an extra help. It's been so much more organized. There are other places to get tacos in the Heights. Go to Central Ave and you will find a buffet of exceptional spots which I will now frequent as my taco spots. I am Done with this cart after 15 years in the Heights, DONE!

This is gonna sound weird, but if this food was a person, I would marry them. I’m obsessed with this place Tastes like Mexico straight up. Incredible. Never disappoints. Get a chicken torta. Ask for pineapple. Thank me later. (Al pastor tacos as well.) This is the best food in Jersey City. Maybe in Jersey, period.

I love this food truck - they make some of the best tacos in Jersey City! Taquitos has been around for years, and I have been a customer of them for a long time. I don't order from here frequently, but whenever I have a craving for tacos, this is where I go, lol. They only take cash or Zell (and maybe venmo? I'm not sure about that one, though). They are super affordable and definitely worth the price. I usually order about 4 tacos when I go, which comes out to $12. They're always freshly made, generously full, and garnished with radishes (sometimes) cucumbers, onions, cilantro, and wedges of lime. They also come with two sides of sauce, of which they offer three kinds: not spicy, spicy, and very spicy. Since they are made fresh, it can take a bit of time for your order to be completed, especially when it's very busy as it can sometimes get. However, I've never waited longer than 15-20 mins at most, and those times I had a fairly long line of customers ahead of me. My favorites are: Al Pastor, Carnitas, and Chorizo.
